Lauren A. K. Darnell is a nationally recognized executive leader, consultant, and community builder with over 15 years of experience helping organizations build inclusive, values-aligned, and people-centered culture. As the founder of Porch & Okra Consulting, she partners with mission-driven leaders to strengthen teams, develop inclusive leadership, and align strategy with community interests.

Lauren’s work is grounded in a background in Anthropology and Women’s Studies, allowing her to blend systems thinking, cultural insight, and practical tools to help organizations navigate change and create sustainable practices. Whether through team development, strategic planning, or organizational audits, she helps clients clarify values, address barriers, and implement lasting transformation.

Her leadership has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation (2023 & 2024 Leadership Awards Judge), New Orleans Magazine (Top Female Achiever, 2024), the Ella Brennan “Stand Up For Your Hometown” Award, and the Essence “Essential Heroes” Award. She also co-hosts the digital food series Love To Eat NOLA for Love NOLAtv.
